General conditions
Article 1: General information
These general terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as ‘General Terms and Conditions’) apply to the ‘request for reservation’ mentioned above. The customer explicitly agrees with the General Terms and Conditions as stated below.
Article 2: Confirmation
The ‘request for reservation’ does not constitute a definite reservation. The reservation will only be considered final as soon as the Customer receives a ‘confirmation of reservation’ (whether or not by e-mail or post) from Hotel Essenza BV (hiena “Hotel Essenza”) containing the necessary reservation details.
Hotel Essenza is not responsible for any double booking. Where applicable, Hotel Essenza shall, in consultation with the Customer, seek a solution that is ‘reasonable’ for both parties.
As the occasion arises, the Customer shall not be entitled to compensation.
Article 3: Check-in, check-out
The Customer can check in at the hotel from 2pm to 8pm. Check-out should be before 11 am.
If the Customer shows up late, Hotel Essenza reserves the right to cancel the reservation in question (see Article 4).
If the Customer checks out late, Hotel Essenza reserves the right to charge an extra day at the rates applicable at that time.
Article 4: Cancellation of a reservation
Reservations for one to three rooms can be cancelled free of charge up to 2 days before arrival, taking into account an arrival at 2 p.m.
A reservation for more than three rooms can be cancelled free of charge until 14 days before arrival, taking into account an arrival at 14.00h.
Reservations that are ‘non – refundable‘. In case of cancellation or if the customer does not show up, the full cost of the reservation will be charged to the customer.
In case of a late cancellation or if the customer does not show up, the full cost price of the first day of all rooms reserved by the customer will be charged to the customer at the current rates. In the event that the customer has reserved a package, the full cost price of the package will be charged to the customer.
Article 5: Privacy and protection of personal data
The person responsible for the personal data that may occasionally be collected on the site www.hotelessenza is Hotel Essenza. Its registered office is at Essendries 2,2870 Puurs. The company is registered under the number BE 0466.118.751. Hotel Essenza can be contacted by telephone on the number 03 288 33 33, by fax on the number 03 288 33 34 and via the following e-mail address: info@hotelessenza.be. Your personal data will be handled by Hotel Essenza in full compliance with the legislation on the protection of privacy, including the law of 8 December 1992, as amended by the transposing law of 11 December 1998 and which came into force following the publication of the Royal Decree of 13 February 2001.
The purpose of the collection of personal data on www.hotelessenza.be:
to respond positively to the requests made by the customer during their visit to the site;
to optimise the management of the site and the customer administration;
to optimise the quality of the service offered to the customer;
carry out market studies and compile visitor statistics.
keeping the Customer regularly informed of activities or new services of Hotel Essenza, as well as of any new offer of goods or services that may be of interest to him;
carry out direct marketing campaigns;
pass on the personal data to companies that have a link with Hotel Essenza, so that these companies can offer products or services
By providing these details voluntarily, the Customer grants Hotel Essenza permission to use these details for the purposes described above.
Any other use requires the prior and specific permission of the Customer.
In general, the Customer shall be entitled to object, free of charge, to the processing of personal data for the purposes of direct marketing.
The personal data communicated by the customer may be passed on to the police. Article 144 of the Act of 1 March 2007 containing various provisions (Belgian Official Gazette 14 March 2007) obliges the accommodation provider, if requested, to make the registered data available to the police so that it can be checked.
The customer has the right to consult, check and correct his personal data and, if necessary, to have incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant data deleted.

Article 6: Applicable law
These General Terms and Conditions are subject to Belgian law. In the event of any disputes, the courts of Antwerp shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
