General terms and conditions

1. General

These general conditions apply to all reservations and stays at Hotel Essenza, located at Essendries 2, 2870 Puurs-Sint-Amands, Belgium.

By making a reservation, you agree to these terms and conditions.

2. Reservations

2.1 Establishment

A reservation is made after confirmation by e-mail from Hotel Essenza. The confirmation contains the details of your booking, including room type, dates and price.

2.2 Payment

Depending on the booking type, a deposit may be required. The remaining amount is due at check-in or check-out, unless otherwise agreed.

2.3 Prices

All prices are in euros and include VAT. Prices may change, but the price on your confirmation is binding.

3. Cancellation

3.1 By the guest

You can cancel your reservation free of charge until:

  • 48 hours before arrival for standard bookings
  • 7 days before arrival for non-refundable tariffs
  • 14 days before arrival for arrangements

In case of subsequent cancellation or no-show, the first night will be charged unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.

3.2 By the hotel

In exceptional cases (force majeure, overbooking), Hotel Essenza may cancel a reservation. In this case, we will offer an alternative or full refund.

4. Check-in and check-out

  • Check-in: from 15:00
  • Check-out: until 11:00

Early check-in or late check-out is possible on request and subject to availability. Additional charges may apply.

At check-in, we ask for valid proof of identity. This is required by law in Belgium.

5. House rules

  • The hotel is completely non-smoking. Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor areas.
  • Pets are not allowed unless agreed in advance.
  • Guests should behave quietly between 22:00 and 07:00.
  • Damage to hotel property will be charged.
  • Additional guests are not allowed without prior notice.

6. Liability

Hotel Essenza is not liable for:

  • Loss, theft or damage to personal belongings
  • Force majeure damage
  • Indirect or consequential damages

We have a safe at reception for valuables.

7. Complaints

Do you have a complaint? Please report it to reception as soon as possible so we can try to resolve it. Complaints after your stay can be submitted in writing at info@hotelessenza.be. We will respond within 14 days.

8. Breakfast and restaurant

Breakfast is included in most room rates and is served from 6:30 to 9:30 (weekdays) and 7:30 to 10:30 (weekends). Our resto & bar is open daily from 18:30 to 23:00 (kitchen until 21:00). Reservations are recommended.

Dietary requirements or allergies can be communicated in advance at info@hotelessenza.be.

9. Parking

Free parking is available on our premises. Parking is at your own risk. Hotel Essenza is not liable for damage to or theft of vehicles.

10. Applicable law

These terms and conditions and all reservations are governed by Belgian law. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Antwerp.
